"The Jerry Lewis" – The Lost Beastie Boys Song

Rolling Stone posted an excerpt from Dan LeRoy and Peter Relic’s book For Whom the Cowbell Tolls: 25 Years of Paul’s Boutique earlier today. You should go read it now, but be warned, you may go mad.

The piece describes a lost Beasties single titled “The Jerry Lewis”. Try not to lose your mind trying to put together a song you’ve never actually heard in your head. It’s heavily hyped up, as well it should be. The thought of receiving some unheard Beastie Boys masterpiece is thrilling. It’s been over two years since Adam Yauch passed away and the world just isn’t the same without the Beasties.

Not only would it be some (relatively) new Beastie Boys music, but it would be from the Paul’s Boutique era. Paul’s Boutique is a god damn masterpiece. I would do bad things for more music from that album. Bad things.

In the meantime, read For Whom the Cowbell Tolls and watch a whole bunch of Beastie Boys videos in a loop.
