Warner Bros revealed the first image of Wonder Woman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. As you can see above, Zack Snyder sure does love them there filters. His Instagram game is tight.
Gal Gadot actually looks very much the part of the Amazonian princess. As for how she actually pulls off the role of comic’s most iconic heroine, that is to be determined. I’d judge her based on past experience, but it’s unfair to judge anyone based solely on their work in the Fast and the Furious franchise.
Many have said that the costume is Xena-esque, which, yeah, there’s no denying that. That’s a good thing, though, because Xena had a badass costume.
The muted colors fit in with Man of Steel’s muted, gritty world. Because that’s the only thing Warner Bros. took away from Christopher Nolan’s bat-trilogy: people like grit and yelling and despise colors.
The costumes look good, but will Man of Steel improve on Snyder’s first effort with Superman and co? It has to, because it won’t feature Kevin Costner pointlessly walking into a tornado. I never thought that would be a low point of a movie, but, here we are.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice featuring Wonder Woman and maybe Cyborg and Aquaman who’s being played by Khol Drogo is scheduled to come out in 2016.
